This is a beautiful image!

Very simple and yet stops and makes you think - about Im not sure what but still!!

What I think makes this image quite good is that it is not just another sunset but it has visual elements that keep one looking (especially when making the picture as large as the screen)  Here is what my eyes did:

1. Immediately looked at the bright sun

2. Noticed the white clouds that seem to point like an arrow to the right

3. Moved back to the sun, but then went to the vertical and left leaning column of flying birds.  I looked downward and found the lowest bird, then followed them up to the top of the picture.

4. Searched out the other birds in the darker parts of the image.

5. Looked again at the sun and studied the silhouetted foreground hills and admired how that sharpness slowly dissolved as one looked to the right.

6, Backed off mentally and looked at the entire composition.

Anytime one produces an image that is so compelling it is very well composed. I am copying this to my favorites folder.
