Tony : Thank you for your time to edit the pic. It certainly follows the all important rule of thirds ! But then it loses the wider perspective & the wide angle effect ; we get some but we lose some :)

Very nicely exposed! I believe this to be the strong point of this image.   Tony's take is valid but then so is yours.  I've seen many sunsets (both on PN & in life) but few with such fine dynamic range.  This one does no harm to the reputation of the D7000.  Best, LM.
