If you had approached her any nearer, spent a little more time over camera settings, you would have lost the picture. That's my experience anyway, for whatever its worth. This is a poignant image of a child 'disturbed' (not in the negative sense) while playing in her milieu. The placements of the different elements in the composition, their textures and colors, enhance viewer interest and make a comprehensive whole. This photograph can be recomposed in different ways depending on what you, its 'creator', want. I offer you merely an optional 4x5 crop with some selective tweaks - perhaps you will find it useful if you ever decide to rework the image. Best wishes - rajat

I don't agree with the first poster about the soft background. I think if you had made it crisp it would detract, not add, as the child would not stand out so clearly as the focus of the shot. For what it's worth, I somewhat prefer the tighter crop offered by the second poster, but that is not to say I dislike the way you've handled it.

Good capture. I like the way the composition emphasizes the tininess of the child. It's a very complex scene anyway, and I think any more depth of field would make it too complicated. I think you've handled all the elements well.
