jmcconnell2 0 Posted October 20, 2012 The color is really eye-catching, nice shot Landrum! Btw, I have a D800, and I just got a D600. I got the D600 because it is lighter and handier, and because of the 24mp sensor. Have compared many pictures taken with both cameras, hard to tell the difference! Nikon did it right. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted October 20, 2012 Jim, I can't believe you have both! I remember when you shot a digital Rebel. --Lannie Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted October 26, 2012 DUST, DUST, DUST! It is not only on this shot (which has been highly cropped), but in the same spots (allowing for different crops) on this one: [LINK] Bummer! --Lannie Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted October 28, 2012 Hi Lannie,Most of the better Nikkors are well matched to the Nikon D600. My lab tests confirm this well.Using both cameras, I find that the Nikon D800E is the utmost demanding camera when you really do the proper analysis of the image across the full frame. There is a noticeable difference in image quality when I use one of the more exotic Leica or Hasselblad lens with the D800E as compared to any other camera/lens combination available. However, I do not employ many of these high end lens for general photography work.Your shot is very good.Best Regards,Mike Link to comment
