I like both of these backlit shots, but I think the light is slighly less intense on this version and consequently there is a bit more detail evident in the darker areas.  The larger view is superb!

Hi Alf, I was a bit rushed with these shots as the sun was already above the trees before I had the camera out the bag. There never seems enough time to play around with exposure when catching the sun rise. 5 mins too late and the moment is missed!
