Hi Latil- Thank you for visiting & your remarks are all appreciated on the numerous images you examined. It is always nice to know a little bit about a person you are talking to, so I will go first & update my bio on my website which is rather out of date.I am an 86 year old Canadian & still love to take pictures. My interests are landscape & nature photography with a special interest in old abandoned homes & barns. There are three of your images which are really excellent, especially this one. The small stream of water cascading down the rocks is very photogenic & I love the soft greens of the trees in the background. The other two I like Brusquest Forest & Thoard.I expect you are rather new to photography so if i may be so bold as to offer a bit of advice, which would be to study these three images & try to determine why they are excellent images. If you believe it is none of my business just tell me to butt out. Best Regards - Roiss

Hi Ross,

First of all, thank you very very much for your kind and helpfull comment, and for the time you spent examining my photos.

I've also had a look on your portfolio, and I particularily like your old barns and cars. Your photos tell the stories of the places they show, and most of them spread such a happy mood that we could almost hear the kids playing among the grass.

As you suspected, I'm a newborn photographer, just trying to put in my little numerical-magic box all the "ordinary" beauties of my little homeland.

One of my principles is to keep the natural colors, to show things just as they are. The good techniques are not completely here yet, that's why I'm surprised that you find my 3 shots "excellent". They're far from looking that way to my eyes...

I will follow your advice and have to think about this... Can I send you a private e-mail if ever find the answers to your question ?

Hi Michael,

Thank you very much.

Your comment has allowed me to discover your portfolio, and I think I'll leave a few comments. You have really beautiful shots that deserve to be seen.

Regards
