Really fine joke about our validity. Woman and  Man. What is better.............

Better? the carefree and happy lady. Worse? The manner-less man who lets the lady carry the load, and the silly man whose attention is so gripped by the ice-cream. 

Rather than a casual shot, this shot begs narratives and punchlines much like the cartoons in The New Yorker where the reader captions them. Don't know whats really the story, but the photo asks you to make one up... Could even be photographers wife annoyed that he's taking her photo with this stranger no less in the frame, and not helping her get down to the beach. Oh yes, she likes lavender.

I like that it's a photo with a story unfolding. Though the color is benignly handled, it still has its impact. 

It's not, though it's been taken as, a man's joke or story. Hot woman, indeed. Anything more?

The picture tells a good photographic story of how the photographer sees the world and encourages our imaginations to wander. The title and the stories relatyed tend to reduce people to types and objectify what is really a more human and innocent moment, one that includes key gestures and posture and not just typecasting and assumptions of pre-defined gender roles.
