Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 22, 2012 Urban Landscape: "They" were Norfolk and Southern, and the old depotwas torn down because of questions of "liability." The lawyers willbe the ruin of us all! This photo was actually shot after dark, butthis version in particular has had the levels raised and curvesapplied. Comments welcome. --Lannie Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted September 22, 2012 This lighting is fantastic! It is completely diffuse and there are almost no shadows. It gives a "lifeless" feel to the image which enhances (to me very significantly) the narrative. Excellent!!!!!!!!! Jim Phelps Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks, Jim. Well, yes, the lighting gets pretty diffuse after the sun goes down. Please hit the right arrow to see the other two versions with even less light. --Lannie Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 23, 2012 Lannie, This is a super documentary and another sad commentary on the loss of a lost culture - in this case railroads. The angle in this one makes the image to me. I too think you did a great job with light and color. While the image looks like a blight at first, it grows on me. I guess that's the point. Nice job.
