A fine candid moment.  I like the virtual diagonal connection between your subjects' eyes.  Your title reminds me of something Larry King said about interviewing people.  He said that he rarely interrupts his guests because when he's (Larry) talking he's not learning anything.  A wise philosophy I think.  Though I often fail, I try to remember that nugget of wisdom.  Best, LM.

Listening is an art and so is sharing your life's experiences and wisdom and making a point. That is what the other person seems to be doing. The position of the two people in the frame and their gesture binds them together as one subject. You can see a strong communication going on. Very good lighting and composition.
