I think we have both have gone from 'wee ones' in the PN Nursery School ;-), to the Elementary Grades. We've enjoyed each other's new discoveries as we've both learned not only some camera skills, but editing as well. I am so happy that you are still here, and I think of you as one of my 'buddies' as we've 'journeyed'. Many thanks dear freind for those lovely words of critique. I shall record them in my Journal. Thankyou for that 'smile' that is on my face at present Warren!

It is good to know that you both can enjoy a bit of humour in our compositions. And of course it is always a pleasure to hear from you both. I hope you are both enjoying pleasant weekends.

thankyou dear Ulla for that lovely expression of 'mirth' as you share in my minds 'waunderings'. Yes I shall look back on this summer as pleasant as it could have been. We were fortunate that we mostly just got relentless heat, rather than the very difficult weather many experienced. Soon all the 'flies' will be asleep, or laying on the windowsills and floors of unfinished homes. When the snow is blowing and it is too difficult to get outdoors I shall have a bit more fun with all the insects I was able to capture!

It took a second or two (thank you second cup of coffee!)  You have conjured up an entire romantic comedy.  I hope it ends well.

Very good image Gail. I like it a lot. Your use of the different source photos and texture is well done. I can imagine the fly imagining flying away, maybe in that airplane.

In the original song, I'm pretty sure, there is the sound of an airplane in the background. The intent was for the 'fly' to be imagining his 'sweetheart' leaving on the airplane. Silly I know, but you have to have a chuckle admist all the 'madness' these days!! Many thanks for stopping by.

Freddie is probably sat there wondering "Where the hell do flies go for the winter anyway, and how come I'm not there too?...........now my compound eyes are weeping and my hairy legs are shivering ........no I'm not sad, its the bloody cold"!

Love it!

Best Regards

Gail you are a master of the artful image!  This one is extremely creative!  Gets my head wondering about the meanings.  The canvas texture shrouds the background, revealing only the very large pieces, the sky, the plane, and the building.  Yes, and the insect looks so sad, caught in thoughts...  Best Regards

It's really quite silly. The fly missing his 'lover', who has gone away, sort of 'flys' imitating' life. Since doing so many Macros, and reading about insects I've learned they are qutie fussy who they mate with. I never would have thoguht it was that complicated. They seem to be 'pickier' than some humans!
