andrew_atkinson1 0 Posted July 11, 2003 Enter the butterfly, patterend for survival, painted like crown jewels yet delicate as a film negative. Enter an anonymous Korean man, found on the side walk - dead matter. Is a picture ever alive? For Art's sake I picked them up, transplanted them with my lens, severed from their surroundings magical they will always be together, bedded, framed. For meaning? No not realy meaning. For captivation. In their captivity they catch you staring. Perhaps meaning lies in their creation, a stunning beauty, a lost image. Captive for captivation's sake. Link to comment
eldritch48 0 Posted July 11, 2003 I like this a lot. I think the balance of clipping off the corner of both the butterfly and the photo really works. It could have used a slightly smaller f/stop so that the entire butterfly was in focus. Link to comment

nikonuserf100 0 Posted July 15, 2003 I have a problem with photos that have a written explanation with them. The photo should tell the whole story. What you said could have happened, or ... maybe not. The two elements in the photo aren't enough to explain the situation. Don't get me wrong, what you have done is interesting ... intriguing even, but I think it could have been done better. (It's only an opinion). Link to comment
