JimCowan 0 Posted October 15, 2012 Alf,This dramatic image demands more from the viewer than a casual look, it is best viewed large, and then it must be studied to appreciate its depth and hidden mysteries. The sky has a wonderful 'wide angle effect' that helped to draw my attention.Nicely done!Jim Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 16, 2012 I quite like that wide angle view of the clouds too, it kind of looks like angels wings and in Tonys version it is even more apparent. It's a strange thing the light, even though it was a gentle morning light, it at first appears almost bland. If I was processing this again, I'd definately take on board some f Tonys adjustments. Many Thanks for your thoughts and kind words Jim! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted June 14, 2013 HI ALF-When first viewed I thought this was interesting image & probably more so in the large size & I was not disappointed..You have captured & processed an image of a rugged landscape, a visual pleasure to view & enjoy..Believe the darker waters add to the feeling of ruggedness & the lower part of the image with the reflection of the pure white clouds adds a nice touch. The only small nit piking is all those tiny white dots,a bit distracting. All in all a strong visual image of a rugged part of your country. Best Regards to a Friend-Ross Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted June 14, 2013 Many Thanks for your thoughts and positive feedback, much appreciated!I think the white dots could be marks on the rocks that have recently been covered in moss then laid bare.I would probably process this a lot differently now, as the Nik Silver efex software would enhance this nicely I think. In fact I might have another go at this one. Cheers Ross! Alf Link to comment
