I thought of you yesterday when one of my students talk to me about Avril Levigne! What a surprise to discover such a wonderful super artist from Canada! Yes it is a small world. Actually, my husband's Mother is from Napanee and both she and  Jim's Dad are buried there. I have been there many times, it is a very small rural community, but in quite a beautiful area of Southern Ontario. For a short time I lived in Belleville, Ontario, a small city not far from Napanee. I also have family in a place called Cherry Valley, and Picton, Ontario, which is just a 'hop' from Napanee. It is about 1 1/2 hours from where I live now.  I am glad you enjoy her music. She sure has grown up a lot from the time she first became popular. Many thanks jorge for those lovely words you wrote, you are a true believer in family and I echo your sentiments.

Beautiful pair, very lovely,  Gail, great story. When I saw  for the first time the TV many centuries ago, :) I looked for Felix the Cat in the back of the set, it was all magic.

I'm a bit late here again, trying to catch up with everyone after a weeks holiday.  I loved that line " I wanted to marry Mighty Mouse" that had me laughing.......if only your husband knew who the competition was!

But dreaming of flying is something very close to my heart.  I used to dream about it every night, for reasons that you can probably guess. I can remember every detail, and the feeling was amazing, I couold accelerate and dive and climb with very little effort.

The image echo's the sentiments of your narrative beautifully!

I have dreamt about flying many times, such a sense of freedom. I also used to dream that I could figure skate like the professionals, and it felt so wonderful also. Yeh, Mighty Mouse, I think I was around 5 years old at the time. I kind of liked Popeye for a bit too ;-)
