prezesura 0 Posted August 19, 2012 hi, not sure if this crop works with my composition, also I applied sharpening method recommended by Chip Phillips on my large monitor looks not enough, on the other that is MBPro is better click for larger version how this looks ? thanks in advance Link to comment
stp 6 Posted August 19, 2012 The square format is perfect -- the frame is filled, and the square accommodates the elements very nicely. I also like the sharpness you've applied. The distribution of light is striking, and the lone tree does wonders for the composition. Excellent work. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted August 19, 2012 I would echo the sentiments of Stephen in thier entirety, and also add that the colour contrasts work really well also. I am not a fan of square orientated landscapes usually, but this works incredibly well here! Excellent 7 Regards Alf Link to comment

victorwei 0 Posted August 19, 2012 I also agree that this crop is perfect for your composition. The inclusion of the small shrub at the lower right corner enhances it. Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted August 19, 2012 The larger version truly brings out the beauty of this landscape. Beautiful light and color. A deserving 7/7 from me. Link to comment

prezesura 0 Posted August 19, 2012 thank you everyone for your generous opinions, comments and marksWillow Spring Station SA is extraordinary location with lots of hills and those blue-violet flowers are everywhere but, original image 'full frame' is kind of boring and too messy , with not much happening on ether sidethat's the reason I opted for tighter square cropthanks for your confirmation Stephen on sharpening method working well :) regards Link to comment
gbgrubb 0 Posted August 20, 2012 I wouldn't change one pixel in this image. It's stunning... and I wish it were mine. ;-) Link to comment

joseph_eiche 1 Posted August 20, 2012 Excellent composition but it is the color elements of this one that make it jump out. The contrasting purple and blues in the foreground against the red, yellows and oranges of the horizon are simply perfect and create a wonderful and striking image. Link to comment

gungajim 75 Posted August 26, 2012 Przemek,This is a wonderful image very exotic light. I think the square crop works very well. I think all too many posters here on PN fail to look at cropping alternatives. This is an example of the good things that can happen when a photographer expirements a little.GJ Link to comment
