Your perseverance with hand holding the camera certainly paid off, you got a stellar shot here. These images though common are not easy to capture, you did well to capture them in their moment of ecstasy ! The sharpness & composition are fine & the lighting is very good. Great capture !

Best regards.

Thankyou for your interest in this image Sagnik. I was very fortunate to obtain this image. Lucky for me they took long enough for me to get a 'steady' shot. I was worried I'd still be trying to 'balance' and they'd fly off and be gone!!! My deep appreciation for your interest, support and encouragement.

I love it 'Insect Porn'. I actually was quite surprised to see them in this position. But I guess the wings etc. would get in the way;-). Glad you liked this image Emmanuel.

Your macro images get better every time, this is great to view in the large format!  It looks like thier position was just as precarious as yours, but at least they didn't fall off : - )

Well done Gail!

;-0 !!! Go figure Jack, I have not investigated the positions Grasshoppers use, but when my husband called me to get my camera, I did not expect this either!!!! maybe they are 'highly evolved' grasshoppers!! Thanks for the chuckle!!! Have a good weekend! Gail

Yes, very unusual I thought. They probably have some kind of 'Grasshopper Super Glue' or the male is very very strong ;-) (wink wink). Figures, Insects can be in one of their 'let's try somehting different tonight, dear' positions, and I can't even stay on a brick wall trying to get a simple Picture!! sure glad I wasn't doing a Video !

Thanks so much for your visit Alf, you have yourself a good weekend. most sincerely,Gail

Very good technical quality although not very much macro which I call a real macro and have never done it! Well done, extremely well done Gail!
