Ellery,

I was looking through my own portfolio and discovered that you made a nice comment, that I somehow missed before.  You made that comment about 4 years ago, so I decided it was time for me to look at your work.  I especially like your interest in insects and plants (I was a high school biology teacher) and this one is really most engaging in featuring an insect exploring its floral environment.

I thought I would say that it is hard to get macro shots as sharp as we would usually like and make the suggestion that the various processing software usually have both a "clarity" adjustment and "sharpness" adjusting tools that might be of use to you.

Regards,

Jerry

Hey Jerry!  Thanks!!!  I will check on that in post processing...

To be honest, my post processing skills are not impressive really at all....it is something I have not greatly developed that I have been meaning to work on more for sure!

Any ideas on books or articles much appreciated!  Take Care!

I just re-scubscribed, so look me up and keep in touch!

I cannot help but think that the mantis is looking at you as if to say, what on earth are you doing? Thankfully you are doing it. This shot makes me smile. Thanks for that.

Darn it, you beat me to it...

And yeah, it looks tons better...and you were not even working on the RAW file (which I have :) )

Im off to edit and repost.....as a matter of fact, there are a couple versions of this same photo that I will tweak

I blame some of it on my crap monitor...I edit on it..then go to other computers and see that it is uber dark....my new NEC monitor is as of tonight on order :D
