Pierre Dumas 280 Posted August 5, 2012 What can I say, I fooled some of you and others not exactly! The problem was that I didn't have the right darkness of mustache to fit this fellow hair darkness, so, when I placed the PSD with the mustache on his face I had to tinker more to make it fit, therefore, what you Gail noticed, the skin came up darker than it should and with reddish tone! If one wants to make successful transplantation of mustache and beard then he must take a lot of pictures of different men and make PSD files of them! The nice lighting is as a matter of fact sunlight! drkallol 0 Posted August 5, 2012 Tough job, well accomplished. I am thinking that how it would be in grayscale... white on black! Lovely lighting & tonality.I have learnt so many things from you & even a Mustache transplantation! Hope I shall come out with some images like this one day!My best regards.Kallol Link to comment
richard_john_edwards 0 Posted August 5, 2012 Pierre, this image is quite intruiging for me, knowing your work, i am looking for clues to tell me the moustache has been added on later, has it? i like the highlights from the oily skin on his forehead. I think it s a wonderful portrait, credit to you.Cheers Richard Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 280 Posted August 5, 2012 Thank you Kallol, Richard and Joerg!Kallol, I haven't noticed that you have learned something from me, judging by your pictures, yet, I'm glad if you have! Richard, yes, the mustache have been added, not very successfully! Joerg, your comment seems familiar to me as I have seen it on the same picture on some other place! PDE Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted August 5, 2012 Pierre...... if I send you a picture of me would you put a mustache on it. I think I would look good with a mustache like that. Ha! I didn't realize until I read the comments. Take care...Fred Link to comment

setsail728 15 Posted August 7, 2012 Wonderful portrait Pierre. I like the stark contrast between the background and the face, as well as the face and the moustache! The expression is riveting!. I must tell you that when I first saw the photo I was taken aback and said "whoa!!" strickly out of surprise. I am old enough to remember Stalin when he was still alive...and I thought for a minute it was a portrait of him! Whatever! A marvelous portrait, without question!! Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted August 9, 2012 A superb portrait my friend! The lighting is excellent, and the black background/shirt combination gives the image a surreal look. Excellent work guy!All the best,Neil Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted August 9, 2012 I also thought it was Stalin or a severed head ! It would look good on a block ! Nice work ! Bill Link to comment
swede621 0 Posted August 12, 2012 I don't even WANT to know what he is up to !!Very provocative image, Pierre. Love the appearance that his head is "floating". Makes me wonder even more about his motives.Very well done... Link to comment
