Photographer of the Year competition. Unfortunately it didn't win....but who

knows...better luck next year...:-)

Graphic illustration of why it is hard for a lion to pick a single zebra out of the pack, I suppose. Congratulations on your honor. There is a bit of yin and yang to this shot. One the one hand, it is the melding of the zebras that is so striking, on the other hand, perhaps a few less of the details like the ears sticking our here and there would lead to a simpler, cleaner composition. and help us zero in on the zebra in center.

In any event, a memorable image.

Competitions can yield unlikely winners, and sometimes it just kind of leaves you scratching your head.  This is a winner, well in my eyes at least, the myriad of shapes and patterns is fascinating. Very best of luck for next year!
