Roger,

if you are looking, I decided to enter in flowers category with the note

about pixel benders as opposed to digtal alteration category. Selfish

reason is I believe people go to digital alterations to see higher tech

types of alteration than this. I don't know that many would go there

looking for flowers.

i didn't go looking for flowers, but your narrative relating to the pixel bender intrigued me and I decided to take a closer look.  I am very glad I did. The tones and textures are absolutely gorgeous! I think you have retained a fine balance too, the flowers don't look so surreal as to be obviously altered.  I think you have done a great job, its a lovely image to view!

Best Regards

alan,  it always seems when i follow alfs comments,  i could just say second his comment.  i find it's obvious you have had a bit of help here,  which have no problem with at all.  from the photographic side,  really like composition,  nice how entire cluster is within the frame and colors are gorgeous,  and also work well together. from the editing side of your image,  this to me is a nice image,  which you have converted to a lovely piece of computer art.  have also looked at your other submission,  which i also like ,  on it i thought the b&w version other member did took care of the dark area on your color version. but when i enlarged color version that seemed to take care of most of darkness anyway.  usually don't comment on heavily edited images that often,  mainly because have very little knowledge of the procedure taken to create them.  but what you have here is just beautiful which ever way one views it.  nice work indeed!

Alf, Roger, Patsy,

thanks for the kind words and advice.  I got a bit fascinated with the Pixel Bender filter and the artistic look and feel it can bring to a photograph.  I'm going to keep it in the tool box, but it can draw one away from the art of photography itself.  But it is lots of fun!! ;-)
