Found this little guy on the path. Took the photo then returned him

(?) to the water.

Taken and processed in my iPhone 4gs.

Dewey,  Some things to think about.

1. Your exposure and tonality is very good.

2. The textures, created by your processing on the computer are exaggerated  to the point of being painful to look at.  Perhaps you were trying to get the little turtle to show up better.  It would be fairly easy to apply the texturing to the turtle and not the rest of the picture.

3. You placed the turtle dead center.  I remember reading a book on composition that said "dead center is compositionally dead."  That suggests that another placement would be more effective.
