alan,  like your image very much.  good question whether should be in flowers or alterations.  i personally would like to see in alterations, but that would take probably more than half of the flower images away from flower section. have no problem with alterations,  but they are a different kettle of fish all together.  where as have nothing against altered images,  would prefer viewing them on their own merits, on saying that also feel the same with unaltered images. regardless of what anyone says,  there is a huge difference between creating your work with the camera in the field,  and sitting at the computer working with the many different possibilities available today.  have no problem with either,  but do like to know what am looking at,  and how work was created.  melding the two together is great,  my preference would be images that you can't really tell have been altered, but images like this one,  which i would call computer art, are really nice on their own also. my two cents worth!

I imagein Pixel Bender takes quite a bit of skill to render even a 'half decent image' and this is 'stunning'. Congrats on your fine talents. A beautiful image!

Roger,

thanks for the input on the digital alteraions aspect.  I agree with your thoughts on the subject.  Still not sure where I will post others, but one needs to know what they are critiquing.  Thanks for the rest of the comments as well.
