On a misty, rainy morning in June, a neighbor allowed me access to the

woods behind his home for the purpose of photographing this scene. On

most days, it's a nice enough scene, but on this day, the climactic

conditions come together to make it particularly appreciable.

Nice composition. Could use a bit more contrast. Maybe adjust in post?

I appreciate your thoughts and your suggestion. The low-key, low-contrast nature of the photograph was intentional; I feel like it evokes the mood of the scene as it was that day. Perhaps it's ineffective, but that was my intention nonetheless.

I can see the appeal of the scene, it does look very inviting. I can also appreciate your reply to Chris. I have in the past taken some interesting foggy photographs, that have the characteristic moody atmosphere as this one does, and after processing them, thought to myself "this doesn't look right" and after some examination found that I had processed them in a habitual way, tweaking the contrast as a matter of course, which in turn resulted in a loss of the original appeal.  Very nicely done Jeremy!
