Image taken at Bryce Canyon May 2012. Spectacular location, but one I

have found quite challenging to photograph. I have seen so many images

with an other-worldy glow from Bryce but have as yet been unable to

capture that despite seemingly being in the right place at the right time.

This image represents the best "glow" I have generated to date, but I still

feel there is more to capture!

All comments/suggestions/critiques are most welcome!

Thanks,

Brad

I was there 10 years ago, plus or minus a few days. Early morning is gorgeous with the shadows. I remember it being much more red though. Maybe a bit richer with blacks or more saturation?

Brad,

Wonderful colours! Beautiful country to see, but I don't think I would want to live among these!

Regards always,

I like your composition.  I think this may be very slightly underexposed; you might tweak that a bit and compare the result.  I'm not familiar with Nikon equipment, so I can't comment on attributes of the lens you've used, but that is often a consideration.

Brad, I have been there a few times too.  Maybe you'd have better luck if you isolated a few hoodoos and got much closer to them.  Sunset Point at sunrise is a good place.  Regards, Jeff

Brad, Nice glow. I'd like to see sharper edges, since the image is all about the edges of the pinnacles here.  Also, is this a touch too over saturated.  This said, you were rewarded for getting up early to get this nice capture.  Good work.  Larry

I was saying it was undersaturated. :)

To each his own. but it IS incredibly rich color early in the morning.

Thanks for all the helpful comments!  I'll take a look at some of tresponds back in Lihtroom again, and keep the others in mind the next time I get to Bryce!
