Wonderful detail and presentation, the colour contrast between bee and flower looks really good. Did you find a solution to your colour comparisons between Laptop & PC? Very well done Gail!

Best Regards

Thanks for those kind words Alf. No I haven't had the opportunity to investigate that further. The Laptop has Windows 7 Aero Colour Scheme, I should perhaps turn that off, but my Dad has a Spyder, that may help. What worried me was if others were looking at my images on a Laptop, would they look oversaturated as well? I used to 'work' images on my Laptop when I first got it and the colour was very good. My prints would come out the same colours (or pretty close) so all seemed well. Thanks so much for asking, I will try to figure it out probably next week when I have a bit more time. On my Laptop I could not even see the 'little veins' in the petals of the flower. But I am sure there is an answer. Many thanks for your visit, ;-) Gail

Your visit has encouraged me so much. You have so much more experience than I and your thoughts on this image are very much appreciated. I am glad you noticed the little veins in the petals. I really noticed how delicate the 'flesh' of the petals was, especially after being saturated by the rain. Warm regards, Gail

Your thoughts conveyed are very much appreciated. You know how much I respect your work and this is lovely encouragement . One day, I just may achieve the detail you do, (a great goal I think!) kind regards, Gail

I know the frame was not necessary. I always like 'experimenting' and lately I have seen some of the 'metal' framing one can have done and I've seem other mounts in stores that have an image fused to various materials, then mounted on another surface. They have intrigued me and I wondered what colour combos would look good. Thankyou for your encouraging visit! Most appreciated, Gail

Dear Ricardo, so nice to have you visit, and I do miss when you are not here, but we can only do so much in the time we are spared each day for 'all' the things we want and hope to get done. You have been a great source of encouragement and inspiration to me since I joined PN, THANKYOU  dear friend.

A beautifully executed image with high aesthetic value. On the one hand the bee conjures up images of Darth Vader and doing harm to this innocent flower. But as we know, the bee is succumbing to the ultimate sweetness and in return it helps the flower to reproduce.  A symbiotic and successful relation indeed.  Is there a message to us humans?  (*_*)

many thanks Tony for stopping by. You know I always appreciate your thoughts on my images. It will be years before I have the expertise that you have in Photography, but that is a good thing, you are always there to inspire me and a great example of the 'craft' itself. I think your 'reasoning' is 'spot on' re the 'bees'. They are a fine example. Sincere regards, Gail

A jewel box of a picture and one of your best as the number of comments attest. You've really made great strides in your use of the macro lens. That, coupled with your excellent sense of design, results in a truly impressive picture.
