Before I read your narrative, I was convinced the woman in the image was you, it immediately brought back memories of your image "Long Long Time Ago" But I guess you get told all the time that yourself and Shauna look so much alike. It's a lovely tribute to your daughter, symbolizing your love, like the flame that will burn in your heart forever.

Best Regards

Alf

Yes many have told us we look alike over the years, but she was blessed much more than I. But as we all know, it takes one with a 'beautiful' soul, the beauty which comes from within, and she has this and more. She has such a 'big' heart. I am sure we all feel this for our children. The bond between Mother and Daughter with us is so strong, I am thankful for that. Your kind remarks and visit are so appreciated Alf. I was just on the phone with Shauna and told her what you and others had said, she was so surprised. She thinks it has a lot to do with my "layers" and Photoshop, but she underestimates the beauty I and so many others have seen in her.  When I was working on this one I liked seeing her 'blooming' out of the flower and also the mirrored image reminded me of a beautiful gown. many thanks Alf for your visit and kind words. Most sincerely, Gail

I think you are the first to see she is 'blooming' from the flower. Your kind remarks inspire me to study more, and continue on in this  'creative' side of my Photography. many thanks Jim.

Your very kind remarks are touching, and to think - you think - she should have been in Movies, well, when I told her what you said this evening, she was very humbled and surprised. My sincere thanks Tony for that lovely compliment.

As usual it so hard to distinguish the  two components of your presentations,Gail. The ever important  words you sprinkle your photos with is inseparable part of  the impression created ,the taste left. Very moving words from your faithful followers ,reflecting what they saw with eyes and soul in this very special flower . Yes,you are blessed! You were able to transfer the special bond between your mother and yourself  one generation down. And the chain will surely continue...

In desperate need of time..Still in total impotence to handle my time management ..understanding the bitter sour taste of being away from a genuine source  of sentiments  ,always abundantly offered ! Innumerable affection and hugs!

Always a joy to hear from you. Your sentiments are certainly appreciated as is your very encouraging critique. Shauna saw your critique and was overwhelmed by how kind you are, but of course it is no 'surprise' to me. :-) Many thanks for your enthusiastic visit! I do hope things improve in your Country. It is so beautiful there. Sincerely, Gail

it is a great work of art inspired by your love! I love to read your comments to your own pictures. They show me the beautiful YOU, first of all. I also have daughters, two of them, and understand your feelings. I am really fond of your art and admire your knowledge and creativity, dear Gail. How do you manage to do all that ? Each time I see your work I feel inspired.... Thank you for that. Tamara

What I like most about this image is the 'depth' in imagery, Gail. Layer upon layer work seamlessly well together. For me, it's like looking into a memory (through subtleties in DoF and colour overlaps) more so than a capture in time and THAT is what really appeals to me. compliments
