I like the contrasting textures: verticals, diagonals, and the earth in the foreground. It's an interesting set of tones and colors, very muted and it reads as very low contrast, so you get a very abstract feel out of it. This is pretty nice small, and I think it might turn out very well printed large (assuming there's enough pixels in there to support a biggish print).

The one quibble I have is that there's string eye-leading to the right of the frame, everything kind of "comes together" at the tree trunks at the very right of the frame, and there's not really enough visual interest to keep my there. My eye kind of skitters out of frame on the right. Not sure what to do about that, possibly give us a little more of the image on the right?

I would love to see this in bw!  I think compositionally, and due to texture, color, while there is very little, isn't needed.  That said, if you could make that green "pop" up top a little, it might make for an even more stunning piece... ?

Hi Don, cool shot. I like the muted colors and the structure in the trees. The forked tree on the left gives it balance on the left side. I like the spray of green. I have been to this area and can relate. Nice shot!

I think Andrew has pretty much summed up my thoughts relating to the verticals, diagonals and textures, they are superb and composed really well.  The larger view brings this shot alive and the finer details become more evident, almost tangible!  Beautifully done!

Compliments !

Thank you, Jim & Alf, There is this eye wondering effect happening here because of the sloping to the right of the floor. I did shoot this because it is a departure from other viewed renditions that I've seen. I do have other versions of this grove coming, to compare.
