griffis 0 Posted June 1, 2012 If anyone would please care to comment, I'm fairly new here though I've used the forums for info gathering in the past. I realize this isn't exactly landscape, but I didn't really see a category that was better suited. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted June 2, 2012 I quite like the subdued lighting of the scene and the architecture of the house, and the foreground flowers are a nice touch also. The composition is nearly there too, but one or two things you might like to consider. The house is a bit too central, and the tree branch should ideally be separated. So perhaps a lower perspective and swing the camera left slightly. Best Regards Alf Link to comment
joseph_eiche 1 Posted June 2, 2012 You get this in the right kind of light and this would remind me of something from a ghost story or horror movie.I agree with Alf's points, the branch is too great a distraction in its current position. Getting lower and even moving a bit to the left would probably solve that problem. Link to comment
griffis 0 Posted June 2, 2012 thanks guys for the feedback, definitely helpful, I see the point about swinging the camera to the left, im assuming you (Alf) mean staying in the same position just turning the camera a bit to the left, if I was to actually walk left much then I would miss out on most of the rock/flowers in the foreground.
