tony,

just spent last hour answering your comment on fern image.  to than come here and find this is just really nice.  love the softness of both colors and overall image,  would have to say think second version is the better of the two. you my man are starting to produce some real kick butt images here in the flower section.  its sure fun to watch.

Roger: Thanks for your visit and kind words. The second image (mod2) has a single green strand cloned out as it was beginning to bother me. I also darkened the left side of the image by using a gradient filled vector mask (like GND filter turned sideways).

Mike - glad you noticed the spider. Thanks for your visit and comment.

It loses a bit of the softness of the original and I suppose it will come down to personal tastes.

All the very best,

I like the very simple presentation and the way you handled the whites, against the soft tones, its a real beauty!

Sincere Compliments!

Wonderful soft colors and detail. I have become a bit irregular in PN, I visited your page after a while and was stunned by this one. Regards.

Hi Tony, I like very much first image with softness colors, but some people don't - nobody are same. Regards, Tina

Hi Tony, The softness at the bottom of the image, gives an impression that the flowed is suspended in air.  Soft background is great for the flower.

Thanks for sharing,

Harsha.

You have revealed the essence of delicate beauty.  When I was looking at the thumbnail, it appeared that the flower was floating in thin air - excellent treatment!

My best,

michael

Patsy - glad you liked the soft and pastel colors

Mark - It was one of a few that were white and thought it better to be surrounded by color.

Alf - thanks for your comment and compliments.

Pat, Diego and Sarah - many thanks for letting me know you liked the pastel colors.

Jayanti - Irregularity is never good (*_*) - thanks for your enthusiastic comment

Richard - like most, you are also attracted to the softness. Thanks for telling me.

Panayotis - thanks for telling me which one you liked.

Joscelyn - Thanks.

Adrienne - many backgrounds are completely blurred and I am happy that you told me that you enjoyed the portions that were recognizable.

Tina - I agree that different people will like the softness while others will like something more brilliant.

Harsha - did not see the floating aspect. Good to know.

Yannis - I do try and bring something 'artistic' to flower subjects but I am not always successful.

Michael L - I see that you also saw the floating aspect.

All the very best to everyone - thanks again for your visits and comments.

A lovely image Tony. So easy on the eyes. The lovely pastels in the DOF highlight this blossom so aptly. Excellent editing as well. Sincere regards, Gail
