Personally not much of a HDR fan, but the Old Mill is a good subject for the effect!

Not sure that HDR was the solution to this shot, was the scene overly contrasty? In any event the saturation is over the top and makes it look like a cartoon.

I'd like this much better if it was toned down some. I actually like HDR but you've carried it a bit too far on this image.

Thanks for the comments.  The scene was not overly contrasty.  I was shooting the workings under the mill prior to this shot with the intent of an HDR, and it was overly contrasty with a lot of shadows and some sunlight coming through.  I just left it in bracketing mode tried the HDR when I got home just to see how it would turn out.

I agree I went a little crazy with the saturation so I toned it down a bit.  I also tried a B&W version.  Any thoughts on the edits?
