I have the same image "serenade' with out digital processing. This is not for everyone and I am sure the camps will be split re the aesthetics. Too surreal for you?

Joscelyn Ross and Richard - thanks. I used PS to give it a little pizzaz but all the elements you see were there.

Hi Tony

The middle horizon made a beautiful center of symmetry and also led to a very beautiful digital processing, it is a joyous dream.

I liked the pastel colours in the original image, but I also like this one, cropped close, with the more vibrant colours. Very nice!

Not too surreal at all. I love images with great impact and this one has it. Marvelous work.

I am currently working on an assignment and may not be able to visit everyone who commented right away but I will. I am pleasantly surprised at how many people like this version. Maybe it is because it is not that far from reality and the way I saw the scene. All the very best.

The blues and yellows are nice in this one, Tony, but the darkened & grainy sky below the sun is really suffering from the over-processing.  And for me the centrally-placed horizon is not very dramatic.

Keith, A.K. and Jeff - thanks.

Jeff I agree about the area below the sun and it is something I plan to correct. I still plan to maintain the 50:50 split because of the reflection and mirror effect. I do appreciate  your candor.

I could almost hear the tune of the classical music in this image. A fairly brisk tempo is likened for this image and I could imagine how this sunrise fades so fast and you caught this in the very moment of its beauty.

Excellent title that describes this wonderful landscape appropriately.

Best regards, Tony

Lester

I am late to the party but it is surreal and I like it. Wonderfully processed. Like you said it isn't for everyone but for me it works very well.
