yanzhang 1 Posted May 13, 2012 From the beginning of 2012, I have been to Blue Mountains (NSW, Australia) probably more than 10 times, and have been trying to get a good sunrise light in this Three Sisters place. This photo was taken on 12 May 2012 (yesterday) early morning. Very fortunately, I had witnessed the most spectacular sunrise in Blue Mountains. This image was actually made by stitching and blending from 4 separated shots taken successively - two shots to capture the lower part (mountains) and two shots to capture the upper part (sky), because my 16-35mm f/2.8L II lens was not high and wide enough to include both sufficient mountains and the sky that I wanted to present in my photo. Thanks for viewing this image. Link to comment
ron_west_photography 0 Posted May 13, 2012 Hi Yan, The sunrise is brilliant, well worth the wait. The 3 sisters are the central focus with the bluff in the background another good feature. I think from memory the lighting on the wall is due to the reflection from the nearby cliffs. Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted May 13, 2012 I have never been to the Blue Mountains....... but now I want to.This is a beautiful capture and presentation and I appreciate your narrative on how you accomplished it. What I admire more is your foresight in what you wanted to achieve and your understanding of the limitations of your lens to achieve this.A masterful image.............. well doneRegards Link to comment
