Many thanks for your thoughts and kind comments. I also like the B & W the colour version  looked a bit washed out, and I didn't think making it more saturated would have improved it,

Cheers Harry!

Some wise person once told me that if a photograph can make someone feel something, then it has done its job.  Sincere thanks for your interest Jorge, much appreciated!

Hi Alf,

While I certainly like this shot for any number of reasons, I'm enchanted by the building and would bet that it has a gold mine of images.

All said I guess... Having had a good look the Gillian Clarke Poem - ' The Field Mouse' comes in mind. Compliments Alf!

There was certainly attractive elements to the old stone walls and moss covered roof, but unfortunately the other side of the barn had bright blue plastic pipe protruding from the ground, so in essence this was the only perspective I could get that looked any good, shame though, it was a nice old building. Many Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts Steve.

Best Regards

Ahh yes particularly that line "Before days done the field lies bleeding" It's very gratifying to learn that the image stirs memories of such an emotional poem. Many Thanks

I don't know how I ever missed this one! Lovely peaceful scene; I like how the structure is book-ended by the trees. The cloudy sky adds the perfect touch. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you so much for your interest and thoughtful feedback.  This was the result of turning down a track I had never been to before. I doubt I could even find it again.   But its a good illustration of why one should change routines.

Best Wishes for 2013 Trisha!
