jim_j2 9 Posted April 28, 2012 Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique & rate and allowing me the opportunity to share! Had caught this guy raiding a trash can in the local County Lake/Park. He dropped his happy meal on the way out, . . . and scurried away into the timber, but then returned shortly for his fries. Each time I approached a little closer and patiently waited! Several trips were required to the bushes over about 40 minutes and 20-30 shots. The patience paid off in the end and I got a few "keepers." Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted April 28, 2012 He is a keeper. Great capture. I like the expression, as though he has been caught. Link to comment
northwest 3 Posted April 28, 2012 Raccoons normally looking for food at night time so if you see raccoon at day time they must be very hungry or may be sick, if you like to keep them close use dog or cat food, but you know it is not my advise, just telling :) Link to comment
jim_j2 9 Posted April 30, 2012 Thanks to you both for taking the time to visit and for your valuable comments! Margaret, Yes, this one is not as sharp as the "Portrait" one, but I was a bit excitied about the "opportunity at hand" and I liked this composition and the brush in the background with the dead leaves in the foreground. This shot was after his/her's first trip back into the brush, and yes, I really do think he/she was surprised that I was still there!Pavel, No, this one is not sick or anything, . . . it was very close to dusk and I was at a local Lake/Park where I shoot often. They come out to "raid the Garbage/Trash Cans most late afternoons. I have observed the activity many times, . . . just wish they would do the same in the early morning light! Again, thanks!Sincerely,Jim j. Link to comment
