Nice natural grouping. It is very nice in B/W. My only small nit is that it needs more space , especially the upper part needs  some more. In general more  " breathing" space will enhance that beauty.

Pnina, thanks for your remark. Your point is a very valid consideration. Best regards and thanks once more for dropping by.

Jamie, thanks for appreciating this image.

Of course I enjoy your wonderful landscapes, but now and again you come up with something so totally different but equally as impressive like this little gem! I guess thats the true diversity of a good photographer!  Like the above admirers, I think this is wonderful, the patterns, textures and light are all very well communicated in the B & W tones. I might have allowed a touch more space at the top.

Sincere Compliments!

Alf

PS Sorry I just read Pninas comment I didn't mean to repeat it.

The angle and quality of the light came out really well in this photo and it really enhances the pleasing forms of this mushroom. The B&W is a great choice too because it seems to really draw attention to the texture and form without the distraction of a color. My only suggestion for improvement would be to try to minimize the one hot spot in the upper middle area of the mushroom group by very slightly burning over it so it isn't quite as bright compared to the surroundings. But either way, it is a lovely image Lester.

Anything I would add would be repetative Lester. Overall though, I think the lighting is lovely, always enjoy images of 'Champignon's', and also Fungus growing out of trees and tree stumps. Never are two the same, always full of interesting textures and shapes. This one reminds me of illustrations I have seen in books for 'Habitats' of 'Hobbits' and 'Fairies'. While beautiful on it's own merit, it would be a great image for an Artist to work with. The possibilities are endless. Good eye Lester!

My most sincere regards, Gail
