Neal, I like the idea and the treatment of both of these, the soft delicate tones and lines of the dancer contrasted with the rustic background. I think perhaps the other one is more successful than this one in that the pose is more natural and the background isn't as complicated. To me,  the machine in this one is too interesting and detracts from the dancer, I find myself wondering what the machine does. The other one feels completely natural with her sitting in the window concentrating on tying her shoe.
