wilson_massie 0 Posted June 22, 2003 I'm not a proffessional so don't take my comments to heart. Fantastic colours and quite an imotive photo, focus is really sharp and the phot is well exposed. If I was to critise anything I'd say the composition lets it down. You look at the boy and then follow his eyes to the right which leave all that wasted photo to the left. I'd have composed the boy off centre to the left and aimed slightly lower. Also where he's back lit his face is in shadow paticularly his eyes. I hate picking up on these aspects because what could you have done about it, the shot is obviously not staged so you got what you could but to have been a truely proffessional shot I guess you needed a reflector or a remote flash mounted in front of the boy. My test of a truely great photo is to ask would I blow it up frame and mount it on my wall at home. For me this isn't quite there. Still a really nice photo though. Link to comment
joe_hodge 271 Posted June 22, 2003 I have to second the "composition" comment, but with what is here, maybe a crop? Link to comment
tra 0 Posted June 23, 2003 Great photo, but count me as another vote to alter the composition. Link to comment
