Dunfermline derelict shop

I would appreciate any views on this scene of one of the many shops that

are hit by the recession or changing habits. The urban landscape is

I agree with your comment that the urban landscape is changing before our eyes but I suppose it always has, at least since the combustion engine, industrial revolution, etc.

Where I live (Holland) there´s a small hardware shop like this one still holding out against 3 vast megastores a few miles outside the town centre. I suppose location and local support are everything. They can´t compete on price. It´s a shame this shops has gone the way of many local bakers and greengrocers.
