It is interesting Heather, that when these types of images are made by a woman, it always feels more like a fashion show picture to me, but when a man takes something similar it feels more like glamour/pinup.

Your lighting is good, although it suggests only a single light source because the shadow is so close to sharp.  Had you considered moving her further from the wall to make the shadow more diffuse?

I think the artificial eyelashes seem a little extreme and obvious.  Perhaps when she is looking at the camera or in the mirror the lashes look better.

I do like your background - is it copper squares?

Regards,

Jerry

Heather,

Erin Marie is a pretty girl with a very nice figure. You have focused well on her eyes. Her skin tone is very good. The contrast and color saturation is good. The lighting is good. I really like the specular highlights on her lips.

The long eyelashes and heavy outlining of her lips makes her look a little "costume like" to me. The make-up pushes her toward a rather "hard" look. It is a bit heavy.

Looking down reminds me of a dreamy, romantic, demure style of picture. I don't think the outfit or her expression fits very well with this pose. This is kind of a "look at me, I am doing model pose #24 in the model's handbook." This would work better with direct eye contact with the camera (viewer) or you could move in close to her face and make the image a tad hazy. That might work.

The background is nice and the color goes well with her skin tone and make-up. I would like to see her farther from the background and a narrow enough depth of field to let the background go out of focus. This would allow Erin Marie stand out better from the background. The background is a little too noticeable for me. It draws my eyes away from Erin Marie. I am also not too fond of her shadow on the background. I don't think it adds anything to the image.

You have her turned at a nice angle to the camera which does help make her hips look thinner, but I would have her turn her shoulders at even more of an angle to the camera. I don't like her armpit showing that much. The dark shadow at her armpit doesn't look very inviting. It is generally best not to shoot bare armpits or crotches. Either can look rather tacky.

The composition is a little top and left heavy. She could use a little more room on top and a bit more on the left (her right) or less on the right (her left). This would give your better compositional balance.

Nice shot,

Mark
