Gloomy day and boring grey winter sky. Suddenly a brave team of grey

little birds came down to steal some food from farm animals... Next

moment they covered the brunches of a nearby tree, turning a boring

view to an artistic one. I was lucky to stop the moment.

Please, share your thoughts. Thank you, Tamara

Tamara, I don't comment on many photos, but this is irresistable.  It's perfect.  Don't change a thing.  It's very reminiscent of traditional Japanese art...

I wonder how would it look just BW, without the yellowish coloration! I'm saying this starting from the supposition that the shapes make the play, not the color!

Best regards Tamara, thanks for your recent visits!

thank you for your high mark and very nice words. I am glad my picture reminded you of Japanese Art. I am honoured by this comparison. Most of all I am glad that you commented because you lead me to your gallery - outstanding! Thank you. Warm regards, Tamara

Dear Pierre,

thank you for your thought. I tried and you can check the result.. I think, I like it even better. What do you think? Warm regards, Tamara

It's the aspect ratio and the distribution of birds from top to bottom that really make the photo for me.  You were so fortunate to have the branches ending in pretty much the same plane, leaving open space on the left.  Personally, I would consider removing the negative vignette on the right (and top), and let the branches come into the frame strongly, as this would contrast so much better with the open space on the left.  It's a wonderful photograph.

I should have checked first and then say! This one has the warmth which the other one doesn't! Or at least on which it isn't so much expressed! What warmth do we seek for on a winter day? The warmth of the child's room (and soul) from which the sparrows are being observed, who else looks at sparrows, ha! Maybe you will say: I do! Yes, you sure did, but it's the child in you!

Best regards Tamara!

P.S. About the vignetting I agree with Stephen! I didn't even realize it was vignetting until I read his comment!
