Village Painting

Pierre Dumas

The picture of the environment was taken long time ago and I'm not sure with what camera, it doesn't matter after all for a heavy filter was applied to it anyway! The woman picture was taken with the Sony with 2X tele convertor!

Gareth, neither do I, ha! The picture file was named dry brush, but I don't recognize the filter dry brush on the picture! I inserted the woman and applied dry brush to that layer and it's very different from the rest!

See! I was right - you are an artist! This time - Thomas Gainsborough? If you didn't tell me it was a picture (it is photo.net after all! ) - I wouldn't know. I can imagine it on a canvas, in some gallery....Beautiful. You are Dumas of Photoshop :)! Always pleasure to follow your imagination. Best regards, Tamara

I had to look at this one a bit to enjoy the mastery. the singular focus on the woman carrying her burden is telling. Well done. As always, Robert Coney

Extraordinary work, Pierre! Really oil painting art with all nuances from composition to colors. Just excellent!

I've not been ignoring you.  I'm recovering from some surgery.

This is a great example of "a painting" and "painterly" blending in meaning.  The photograph is beautifully composed, with a rich and soft color palette

All my best,

michael

Very interesting from the perspective of an overlap of styles. The figure is very Brueghel type from the late 16th, whereas the remainder is more reminiscent of the post impressionists.

This is absolutely magnificent. I am so amazed and delighted to see you amazing artful expressions. You have such varied subjects all so great. I like that your images have both a delicate grace and also a strong graphic quality.

I'll be back many times to drool.
