stp 6 Posted February 10, 2012 The spotlight is interesting, and I like the effect. I can't figure out how you got the overall lighting and a shadow at the same time, other than perhaps it's just a result of having her very close to the back wall (I'm just trying to learn about studio lighting). william_staniforth 0 Posted February 10, 2012 Thanks for the comments , Stephen and Paul . I'm afraid that the lighting is not genuine , it's the result of " messing about " in P.S. Original attached ! Bill Link to comment
stp 6 Posted February 11, 2012 Oh wow, nicely done. I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that you have very soft lighting all around, yet you also managed to get a shadow on a close-by wall. At least I won't get a headache trying to figure out what lights you might have used and where you placed them. I'm trying to learn lighting, and this one would have set me back weeks trying to come up with the solution! Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted February 11, 2012 Thank you so much for sharing the information. It's a great example of how much skill can be attributed to editing, like Stephen I wouldn't have guessed at the use of photo shop either. The results are spectacular, and shows what can be done when working with good raw material, that being a beautiful model and a well exposed photograph. Very well done William.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

william_staniforth 0 Posted February 18, 2012 Thank you Tore and Paul , as you can see I don't have a " proper " studio . I rely heavily on Photoshop . Bill Link to comment
