daveinwilton 1 Posted March 1, 2012 Alf, what is there left to say; you "nailed" this one good! The image is incredibly sharp where it should be, and not where it should not. Yes you were fortunate, but you were prepared for the chance, so do not minify your efforts. I am placing this one in my favorites file. Superb work; thank you for sharing. Best regards...-Dave Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted March 4, 2012 Many Thanks for your interest and great compliments, much appreciated. I think "taking pictures" could be one of those things you need to have a passion about to perform well.Best RegardsAlfDAVE Sincere thanks for your interest and positive feedback. The lens did a good job over the 300 mm focal length and performed well in the low light. I'm very honoured you consider it a favourite Dave.Best RegardsAlfGIANLUIGIThank you so much for your visit and kind words, much appreciated!Best WishesAlf Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 18, 2013 I certainly can't add to all the previous comments, and you definitely don't need a photographer like me to tell you this is outstanding work. All I can do is encourage you to keep doing things like this. It is work like this that allows ordinary people to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the natural world...and perhaps stop them from destroying it at such a rapid pace. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 18, 2013 Sincere Thanks for your thoughtful observations and kind words. It would be very gratifying to think that by taking this photograph that it might make a difference and maybe benefit wildlife in some way, I hope it does. But I'm not convinced that the people that make decisions that lead to the destruction of habitats and ultimate demise of our wildlife ever stop and think about their actions let alone stop and really look at the world through eyes that are not obscured with greed. But hey....... people power might just win in the end!
