a landscape like this is of course a great photo opportunity. Nice clouds, perfect light, great beauty. It's hard to take a bad shot in such conditions.

The shot is very nice, with the church being framed by the trees, it also has lots of depth.

The slightly yellow color of the sunlit trees contrasts very nicely with the blue patches of sky.

The snow is very well exposed, it shows good texture.

I think you could have made the shot even stronger by putting the church somewhat to one side, it would break the symmetry and make the shot even more interesting.

In such conditions, I would also have searched for photo opportunities getting real close to a tree and framing the church under overhanging branches. But that, of course, is not about this shot.

Nice, congratulations!

Dirk.

To add to Dirk's very valid comments, I might have considered reducing the amount of sky (to just above the tree) and allowing more foreground as an "intro" to the image.

What also would have been nice would be an image title and maybe some "where, how and why" info. Camera/lens and exif data is always helpful too.

Nevertheless, a very "easy-on-the-eye" image.

Well done.

Regards

Erics:  This is a very nice photo.  Low warm light.  I think the recommendations about a little less sky and placement of house seems right to me also.  One thing.  Something is bothering about the sky.  It doesn't seem natural.  It's out of focus compared to the trees in the background.  Why?  Was this a timed photo?  HDR?  Composite?  Nice shot.  Alan.

The balance is really breathtaking. From the color to the texture to the perspective to the depth of field ... I like every decision you made.

Some interesting and well thought out comments above, but I think this is a perfect composition as is. Great light, perfect exposure and nicely balanced framing. Well done.
