Off the beaten path again, there is a reason some places are not broadcasted all over the internet. Solitude, desert seclusion, tranquility, peace and quiet are things people will pay for because you can't just find it anywhere. Everyone has a place they like to be alone to think or do nothing, it's in our nature. You can still find all those qualities in the crowded iconic spots but it really depends on how you can tune out the crowd or take a few steps in another direction.

Steve, I love this image, The textures in the foreground are fascinating. As are the tonal variances. I love the way the rock has left a trail. Th ereflection in the water along with the coloured hills add balance. Very good image.

This definitely speaks tranquility to me Steve! I totally understand what you're saying. Sometimes I just hop on my horse and ride off into the Alberta wilderness - just me and my horse. Love the shot Steve!

All the best,
Neil

Wonderful, Steve.  This must be Badwater.  The shapes and textures in the foreground work in balance with the excellent reflection.  Nice wide angle shot.  Best to you.  Larry
