Harry - glad you liked it.

Wanghan - thanks and glad you like it also.

Sidsel - thanks. I shoot raw at the highest bit level. I just wanted to show an unprocessed 'original' file.

Michael - you have some superb snow photos taken in your area, Pity you don't have more. This will be the 2nd day of continual snow. Maybe i will get a few shots tomorrow.

John W - thanks for your support.

Patsy: I am happy to share.

Micheal K - thanks for your recent multiple visits and your kindsupport.

John C  - any snow down south in your area?

Joscelyn - thanks.

Craig - you and I are aligned.

Christal - thanks for your suggestion which I incorporated.

Stephen - thanks. I darkened the area next to the conifer.

I am supposed to be taking a break from PN and getting some vital tasks completed but here I am .

I had some time to work on a BW version using Nik Capture NXV1.3.

Tony, I think color is pretty important in this photo, most notably in the sky but also in the reddish shrubs in the snow and even in the curving gray stones amid all of the snow.  IMO I think your color version, especially as you've tweaked it, works best for this composition.

Hi Tony, I think that your ajusted version looks better and I really like this HDR effect.

By the way, thanks for your kind comment on my pictures.

It's times like this I wish there was a 10 rating!

Suffice to say, for me the originaly posted version looks perfect and natural and athough I realise this is a purely subjective and personal viewpoint, I wouldn't change a thing!

Sincere Compliments

Alf

A well rendered snow landscape. The use of HDR here is excellent with perfect control of lighting.

Best regards, Tony
