Old wagon in old city

On the thumbnail I saw use of HDR and thought to myself I will now tell him that he exaggerated with that, but when I see the picture now I don't think so! Italy is a wonderful country for photographing, by the way!

Thank you, Pierre. I don't know how you define HDR, but I have never used the HDR-function in Photoshop. On this image I have used the shadows-highlight function very carefully.

Very interesting place and very well composed photo, but IMHO post processing is definitely to strong. Sorry for saying this, but id doesn't fit my personal preferences.

Bright wall, directly lit by the sun has almost the same tonality as these which are in a shadow. It doesn't look natural. Decreasing the contrast made this photo look "flat".

I'd like to say more, but English is definitely NOT my favourite language... :-)

Thanks again, Jack for your time. English is not my best language either. I get your point. What I tried was to recreate the situation as I experienced  it there and then, and I think I got pretty close. Maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but in my eyes it was important to show the details in the walls, both the sunlit wall and the one in the shadow. Interesting discussion!
