hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 21, 2011 Driving through the scenic Northern woods. Cheers, Hadi Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted November 21, 2011 I really like your chosen perspective, the meandering road leads me right into the image, and the vehicle adds life and sense of the "drive through" whilst the glimpse of colourful autumnal foliage gives a good idea of the scenic drive. Very well done!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 21, 2011 Hi Alf,Thank you for your warm comment. It was getting dark rather quickly, and I had to act fast to find the right composition, focal length etc. I took a dozen or so of pictures and I am happy with this one. The main reason I picked this was the lone car in the image. Regards,Hadi Link to comment
plewenthal 0 Posted November 21, 2011 Wow - talk about a leading line! And the fall colors contrast nicely with the grey roadway. The reflections on the car roof make it pop nicely. This works well for me.Phil Link to comment

garethleyland 0 Posted November 21, 2011 Hi Hadi, I love the composition and DoF. This looks like a really fun road to drive, what a shame there is a low posted speed limit!Really nice image.RegardsGareth. Link to comment
WJBrowning 0 Posted November 21, 2011 A really good shot, the road looks almost a living thing with the way you have framed it. Looks like a fun drive. Well done and best wishes William Link to comment

hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 22, 2011 Gareth,Having been there, I think they made a wise decision to post the low speed limit. Otherwise, every other day a car would end up in the lake!Best regards,Hadi Link to comment
hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 22, 2011 Zoran,It would be fun to watch a drunk driver, drive through this maze!Cheers,Hadi Link to comment
hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 22, 2011 William,You are right; specially when you drive through this stretch of the road, it feels different, almost like flowing! All the best,Hadi Link to comment
dmitri_smolak 0 Posted November 22, 2011 Looks familiar. Door County Wisconsin (north of Ellison Bay)? Link to comment

hadi_khademi 0 Posted November 23, 2011 Dmitri,Like your take on almost the same scene. You have composed it differently and I like your composition too. I did intentionally use a telephoto lens to pack as much road cureve as possible.Regards,Hadi Link to comment
dmitri_smolak 0 Posted November 23, 2011 Hadi, I like the way you zoomed in to compress the scene. Thanks for pointing that out. Re the image I posted, the photo is not mine and I did not intend to give that impression. I tried to properly reference the website that it came from, but had trouble getting the text box to work after I pasted the image in. I am therefore posting proper attribution separately here. The photo came from this website (no name is listed so this is the best I can do):http://www.sojournal.us/doorcountywi.htmThe website has a lot of nice images of Door County and I am sure the owner would love to have more visitors. hadi_khademi 0 Posted February 16, 2012 Hi Marko,It looks unusual indeed! I believe the reason for this pattern is to make drivers slow down; otherwise they would probably end up in the lake.Best Regards,Hadi Link to comment
