Lost Youth

Hi Marc. I think this is a powerful image. Many of us have seen older, demented ladies carrying dolls around in nursing facilities and such. While it evokes sadness, many times these dolls appear to be a comfort to these women. This photo speaks to my sense of mortality and perhaps some fear of what the future could hold. It's disconcerting, yet a good documentary photo. Thanks for posting it.

A very touching image.  I only wonder about the vignetting and the softening.  I wonder if a deeper DOF and no vignetting would make the impact even bigger.
