hopsage 0 Posted November 16, 2011 Dusk, at the end of the first day in an eight-day backpack traverse of the Alvord Valley and Pueblo range without torrential rain. Late Spring, and much of the desert wildflower bloom drying up. Some color remains, in complement to the perfect green of the sagebrush sea. Link to comment
frameworthyink 0 Posted November 16, 2011 I disagree with what I'm seeing here for your ratings. I think this is a very good shot. Color and composition are nice. Good job- Link to comment

hopsage 0 Posted November 16, 2011 Thank you, Thadd and Pedro. Thadd, the ratings system seems to have become a permanent cellar for landscape work, with not a single one accompanied by a comment (though I appreciate that both you and Pedro did both). I don't worry about them anymore. The only reason I put anything up for ratings is the added exposure, because, well, who doesn't want their work to get some attention? Link to comment
petershans 0 Posted November 16, 2011 I would say that this work deserves some attention. A beautiful sky and a well composed foreground.regards, hans Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted November 17, 2011 Spare, and starkly tranquil! There's a real Zen-like quality associated with solitude and the sense of expansiveness. This is entirely due to your brilliant composition and exposure. Beautiful image, John. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted November 19, 2011 Thanks, Chris. It's always great to see you around these parts (though I admit, I'm here much less often, myself). Link to comment
