Love the subject, reminds me of my 4yr old grandaughter. I think you can make your portrait stronger by croping it to fit a vertical format. Try cropping close to Brigitte's shoulders on both sides. IMHO it really improves the composition. Ken

this is a better picture than i've ever taken, and i love it. why. (1) proves everybody should have a fast 50mm in their arsenal at all times (I don't shame on me) (2) i love the shallow DOF, that really makes her face "pop" to life (3) your lighting is wonderful. looks like there is some overhead light, and is she looking into a speedlight below, with maybe -1 stop on the flash? since i also shoot a F/N80, i'd like to know more about how you made this image. wonderful.
